Beauty in simplicity. That’s what we’re going to call this study in apple. The finished product looks so complicated with its intricate design and stunning natural peaks and troughs but, guess what? Nature did all the work, you just rolled it up!

Ingredients
  • 1 apple (1 makes around 2 roses depending on size)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon per apple
  • 1/4 tsp honey per apple

Instructions
  1. Halve and core apples.
  2. Slice into thin strips using mandolin or your crazy knife skills.
  3. Add cinnamon and honey and mix gently.
  4. Nuke for 1 minute at a time and mix after each. Once pliable and soft, allow to cool.
  5. Line up some slices with about 1/8" (say, 1cm) overlap between each slice. Roll.
  6. Line up more slices then place roll on one side and roll it up in the new slices, building a rose.
  7. Once desired size is achieved, set aside and start anew.
  8. Refrigerate until needed.
